Exams are almost over, so you’re probably wondering what TV show you are going to binge-watch after being deprived from Netflix for so long. Well I’ve taken it upon myself to scoop the six best, binge-worthy TV shows. You’re welcome!

The OA

A blind woman who was believed to be kidnapped returns home after seven years and she is no longer blind. She won’t talk about the time that she was missing or how she got her sight back, but each episode brings some insight to what happened in the seven-year disappearance. And trust me, it is not what you think.

Genre: Mystery, Science Fiction, Drama

Orphan Black

When troubled Sarah witnesses the suicide of a woman named Beth who looks exactly like her, she decides to steal her identity (because that’s a normal thing to do when you see someone take their own life) in an attempt to make a new and better life for herself. She then realises that Beth’s life is bat shit crazy and there’s a killer after her and oh yeah, she actually a clone. Anyway, it’s one of those crazy, plot twisty, leave you stunned sort of show that is definitely binge- watchable.

Genre: Sci-fi, Mystery, Action, Thriller

Pretty Little Liars

In honour of their very last episode this month, you should start from the beginning and watch it all again (if you haven’t already). If you’re unfamiliar with this show, it follows the story of five high school girls whose clique falls apart after their leader, Alison went missing and is declared dead. The girls start receiving hostile text messages from “A” who threatens to reveal all their dirty little secrets and that is pretty much the whole eight seasons of the show. It’s awesome and thrilling, but sometimes annoying because the characters always seem to make the wrong decisions. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Genre: Thriller, Crime Fiction, Mystery

How to Get Away with Murder

Brilliant Defence attorney and uni professor Annalise Keating chooses five top students from her Law class to take under her wing and help them become lawyers. But they all get involved in a twisted murder case and they have to take what they’ve learnt from their classes and practise them in real life as they try to get away with murder. Talk about learning on the job! If anything, watch it because Dean Thomas from Harry Potter is the main character and he’s cute af.

Genre: Legal Drama, Thriller, Mystery

Stranger Things

This is a true Netflix gem. It’s got everything you could possibly want (except a second season!) A secret government lab riddled with secrets, a strange little girl with stranger powers, a mysterious town and terrifying super natural forces. Once exams are over, grab a friend and try not to wet yourself because at times it can be pretty jumpy!

Genre: Supernatural Fiction, Horror, Historical

Chewing Gum

If you loved the movie Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging, then you will love this Netflix original TV show! It has the same English humour that will make you cringe and cry with laughter. The plot follows Christian-raised Tracy Gordon as she struggles through her 20s and desperately tries to lose her virginity. Her hilarious antics are never what you expect; this show is perfect for a girl’s night or when you want to experience second hand embarrassment.

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Coming of Age
